Are you a young adult between the ages of 18-24 interested in further developing your leadership skills in the arts & culture sector? Well, we want to work with you! Please consider applying for the TruArtSpeaks Youth Advisory Board (YAB)!
YAB is a 10-month appointment for up to six young adults from the Twin Cities and the surrounding suburbs. YAB meets bi-weekly beginning October 16th, 2021 and continues their cohort meetings until July 2022. During their time they are deeply immersed in the pedagogical pillars of TruArtSpeaks, artistic practice and expression, hard skills within the realm of non-profit administration and arts leadership and more. Additionally, each YAB member receives a $1,000.00 stipend for their participation and completion of their term.
YAB members can have up to two terms with TruArtSpeaks, insofar as they remain within the age parameters for both terms. So, if you are a returning YAB with interest in this opportunity and you fit the description, there may be a seat for you.
The application deadline is Monday, September 27th, 2021 at 11:59pm CST
Selected members will be contacted for a brief virtual interview to answer questions and confirm interest by no later than October 4th, 2021 with a public announcement being made about the incoming YAB Cohort on October 11th, 2021.
The first meeting will take place on Saturday, October 16th, 2021.
